In the apparent serenity of an idyllic Arcadia, at the edge of the wood, in a remote corner, a small love tragedy unfolds, a cascade of events in which vain escape and rapture conclude in mythic union. The attempt to resolve the drama of separation in order to recover an impossible wholeness: sometimes nature produces a suspension of identity that is at once astonishing and unsettling.
